“Croce Patente” ring in solid 925 silver. The cross pattée is one of the identifying symbols of the Knights Templar. More recently it has been called the “Iron Cross”, as its design has been used primarily for military purposes from the Prussian period to the present: it remains the symbol of the Bundeswehr, the German armed forces. The Iron Cross is also widely used in American subcultures, particularly by bikers, hot rod enthusiasts and, in other forms, racing car enthusiasts.
