"Faria"
The ring is distinguished by the shackle and the abbot’s skull, the ultimate symbol of the knowledge that gave Edmond Dantès a profound education: knowledge as the driving force for confronting all the demons and difficulties of life.
The ring is made in solid 925 silver.
“Faria”: a learned, multilingual abbot devoted to science. The elderly abbot was imprisoned in the notorious Château d’If, accused of publishing a text supporting Italian unification.
Highly resourceful, he used rudimentary tools he had made himself to dig a tunnel that could restore his freedom.
Instead of reaching the outside, the old man emerged in the cell where Edmond Dantès was held.
Resigned but in good company, he introduced him to the arts, mathematics and every branch of learning. Near death, the abbot also confided a secret to Edmond: a treasure had lain on the island of Montecristo since time immemorial, and Faria knew its location.
